For those who do not know by now, I have left the state of Illinois for a new job in the great state of Texas.
I grew up in this state, the state of Illinois, and spent the past 47 years of my life calling this state that I once loved home. But I cannot remain anymore. I feel it’s my obligation as a responsible parent and father to move my family to an area of the country that is prospering under the smart policy decisions of smart leaders who respect and defend our rights to life, liberty and our pursuit of happiness.
The transition will take quite a while but it will be worth it. There is nothing left in the state of Illinois for my kids and my future generations to look forward to merely existing and surviving in.
Realistic unemployment in the state of Illinois currently is at 16%. During a good economy, the national average unemployment is 5%. Currently across the board throughout the state of Texas the average is 3.7% AND LOWER in most areas. Good opportunities and a future for my growing teens await them here.
I invite you, in fact I challenge you, to consider making the same transition. The great state of Texas awaits you.
Any questions, comments, concerns, or just want to send out a warm wish of ‘good luck’, feel free to e-mail, text, Facebook message (friend me – I’m all over Facebook), or call me at the addresses and number below.
Thanks again for your support and your friendship over the years.

Oh, and for those who want to know how the March 20, 2012 Republican Primary totals lined up for Illinois’ 3rd Congressional District race?
